    13th Floor Elevators, "You’re Gonna Miss Me" This is the very first song in my favorite movie. I’ve always felt a deep connection to Rob Gordon and the older I get, the more concerning that is, I think. But he introduced me to The 13th Floor Elevators, and for that I am grateful.

    General Commenti think the lyrics are self-explanatory, seems to be rather anthemic. very raw. an awesome opening track to "The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators" anyhow. unbelievable that no one has commented on this gem.

The band's original songs, many written with lyricist Tommy Hall, coupled with Erickson's super-charged vocals and guitar sparked the psychedelic music revolution in the mids, and led to a new role of what rock could be.
